Musandam Governorate is the jewel of Oman and its northern gateway, distinguished by its strategic location overlooking the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 90% of the Gulf's oil exports pass. It is known as the "Norway of the Arabian Peninsula" for its beautiful coastal inlets and towering mountains.

Located at the northernmost point of the Sultanate of Oman, it is geographically separated from the rest of the Sultanate by the United Arab Emirates, with the exception of the Wilayat of Madha, which forms a completely Omani enclave within Emirati territory. It comprises four main districts, with its administrative center being the Wilayat of Khasab (approximately 570 km from the capital, Muscat), and the other districts are: Dibba, Bukha, and Madha.

Telegraph Island is located in Khor Sham, Musandam, Oman. It is a popular destination for diving, snorkeling, and dolphin watching. Historically, the island is known as the site of the region's first submarine telegraph cable station.

Khasab Fort is a prominent historical landmark that reflects traditional Omani architecture. The fort features a large central tower and a museum displaying archaeological artifacts, traditional handicrafts, and exhibits showcasing the heritage of Musandam.

Bukha Fort is located in the Wilayat of Bukha, Musandam Governorate, Oman. It occupies a strategic position overlooking the sea and is one of the region's historic landmarks, reflecting the defensive architectural style of traditional Omani forts.

Khor Sham is a natural fjord in Musandam, Oman, and is considered a habitat for hundreds of dolphins that often swim alongside boats. This makes it one of the most popular destinations in the Sultanate for dolphin watching.
